Your workplace

We are currently looking for a Specialist Trainee Doctor (ST-läkare) for Kristinehamn Health Center, which has approximately 14,000 registered patients. Around 50 people work here with a wide range of professions. Our medical group consists of six specialists, four ST-doctors, two AT-doctors, and one assistant doctor. Additionally, we have a well-staffed support team including district nurses, registered nurses, assistant nurses, counselors, psychologists, healthcare administrators, chiropodists, and dietitians.

We have beautiful premises in what was formerly Kristinehamn Hospital. In the same building, you will find a laboratory, X-ray, outpatient rehabilitation with physiotherapists and occupational therapists, a close-to-home care ward, a pharmacy, pediatric medicine, and public dental care. Kristinehamn is a city with good train and bus connections, close to larger cities but also to our beautiful archipelago.

At Kristinehamn Health Center, there is a strong sense of community, where we work closely together and value both quality and accessibility. A good collaborative climate is important to us.

You will work in close collaboration with well-educated and competent staff within several different professional categories.

Your responsibilities

With us, you as a doctor will have a challenging and exciting job with good conditions for broad training within the specialty. Your education will be tailored in consultation with your supervisor.

You will work with common tasks such as scheduled and emergency visits, act as a consulting physician, and supervise students. The doctors at the health center have different areas of responsibility, such as Child Health Services (BVC), Maternal Health Services (BMM), and rounds at our nursing homes, which are included in your training. Furthermore, collaboration cases with the municipality are included.

The position is a permanent employment, although a probationary period may apply.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you with a medical degree who has a genuine interest in primary care and in learning from the breadth that our mission entails.

To fit the role, you are independent, responsible, meticulous, and mindful of the best interests of the work team, while also being able to clearly define your own boundaries and needs. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and communicate well with others. Good knowledge of Swedish is required, both in speech and writing. Since travel for work purposes occurs, including to the municipality's special housing facilities, we require that you have a B driving license.
